It's the Dad Life...my hero's

There are not enough words to thank
the good Dad's for the dedication, sacrifices,
love, the day after day fighting of lifes "dragons" for your kids.

Those of us who grew up with less than the best Dad or
a Dad who didn't learn how to be a Dad from his own
and just couldn't seem to break the "pattern"
we applaud those of you who have and are.

Mom's are great, and generally revered, but sadly men have not been honored
enough and I think have been greatly devalued during the past generation or so..

May all of us STOP watching/supporting programs/movies/ads, that put men and
especially Dads down.
We can change the so called "politically" correct, insane Dad and male bashing
Have you noticed white males are currently getting the brunt of this..

May men be real men..our hero's then women can hopefully return to
being real women , who love, honor and help our hero's
then together we can raise children who flourish in such a home.

( I know some of you may be single, childless or due to a bad situation have to be either or both)
My heart goes out to you and you are applauded for having the heart of such)

Enjoy these Dad rappers :-)

LETTING GO....

Something "happens" in your life....
It can become an obstacle ..just like this tree that fell on the ground.

We could have removed it,but we didn't..
The rains came, the cold winds
blew..it got cold..the ground froze ..the snows came.

This tree frozen in a small pond of water ,actually looks kind of pretty.
If more snow were to have come and buried it, it could have become dangerous...

Your emotions are like this tree.
Once standing tall and strong, something happened...
you didn't know what to do, so you let the wind ,rain come and the snow "cover" them...

Letting the "snow" to continue to pile up.. there can be a danger to your health...
If you have read some of my past posts, you will remember that a merry heart doeth good like a medicine..LAUGHTER is healing.

While a "snow" job may "help" to cover hurts ,
may provide a temporary solution or enable you to proceed..be prepared for a possible "melt" down or worse.
If you let the "snow" pile up, you may be "piling" up dangers or damages to yourself...

There have been many articles written about how many diseases etc are linked to
emotions...so STOP, evaluate..just where are you? Do you have a "mote" or a "log"
that needs some "tending?" Maybe you are blinded by all the snow..ask a trusted friend to listen ( I mean LISTEN w/o "helping"..)

Here is a simple technigue to try for yourself and possibly help you get "unstuck"

If you have an obstacle or seem "STUCK"... close your eyes,
GIVE yourself FREEDOM to validate how you feel.
Notice where "it" manifests it's self (pain or a sensation) ..
relax breathe "with" it..
when feel "it" "letting go"( the pain or sensation not as intense)
STAND up & reach for the sky !
Slowly bend over , letting yourself "hang" a sec,
slowly round yourself back up to a standing position,
THERE now doesn't your "load" feel a bit lighter?
Repeat if "it " is hanging on, or when the next "rain" comes..
until like an onion the layers of pain & or emotion "peel" off of you..
WOW, now you are "cookin'" ( sorry..an onion pun!)
Now you are ,can get/do/be FREE)

If you are unable to let the layers release you may want to consider councelling..
A (good)councellor can assist you in getting to the root( dealing with the past)and trust me there are some "lousy" ones out there.

A (good) coach (ditto for "coaches" so check who the are with)
They can assit you with : ok thats what got you "stuck" ..
NOW then..how do ..YOU... WANT to move forward, ( dealing with the present & future)

My prayer is for each of you reading this to BE FREE to BE who you were designed to be ..WOW >>> look at you go ....

If you would like to receive some coaching contact me.
I will assist you in finding a "match" for your personal coaching.

I am in a coaching community.
Many of us offer a 15 min complimentary call.
This is see if we would be a "match" for you.
If not we know of others we will suggest ,to you, who may be.

Tributes to Red Skelton & John Wayne & their patriotism

(I apologize for whatever reason this post didn't allow live links
you can cut and past them into your browser to view, then back arrow to return for the next one)

Red Skelton

I always loved watching his shows
not only did I enjoy his funny show
My heart was always warmed when he said good night
to his audience and said God Bless...
I so wanted to hear my Dad say something like that
I never did..

Red brought laughter into our home, he showed us how to
view life in the eyes of others,
he showed us how to be creative
and he showed us how to make an ordinary day have fun in it
as we were shown how to remain young at heart.
Mr.Skelton with his winsome ways also taught vauable lessons

Below are links I wish we would all remember and share
www.youtube.com/watch?v=ioIkqKVzt

John Wayne

..he rode into my heart as a true hero
and of course he had horses..and we all know how I love horses
We don't have enough hero's, and those we have are often overlooked
or not recognized...steadfast loyalty to raise a family
during difficult times or through life challenges and tradgedies
this takes true heroism...

There are never enough horses...I just read an article ..
a horse a day keeps the Dr. away...I agreee :-)

this is a beautiful redition

Just WHO are YOU?.

Is the path before you dimly lighted, or the night before you seemingly, long, dark and forboding ?
Have you had some hard knocks and either lose your way or forget who you are?

It can happen to the strongest person, it can happen so slowly that you don't recognize it for what it is...the robbing of your inner core, your essence,
your you...the unique you who you were created and destined to be..

Time will continue, how will you continue in the march of time?
Do you choose to remain shackled by the devastative blows of the past, the lies,
the enslavement to living an untrue existance, one that is not you?

Does it matter whether your prison guard is food, weight, some bad habit that has made your world turn into a nightmare, a bad choice, perhaps you feel trapped in some situation or environment..but are you really?...

What really can steal your being? Your spirit? What do you choose..yes choose to let control who you are,how you react how your future will be?

Watch this short video , it was sent to me by Tony Robbins and Cloe Madanes
You can watch a life transformed before your very eyes, in this video... it is only 15 min. This could be you, can you open up your heart and eyes to the possibility?

WHO are you...really ?

The link below isn't allowing you to simply click on it.
You can cut and paste it into your google browser. It took me a while to learn how to do this, but it is very easy once you know how..ask someone to show you if you don't know how.

Wearin' of the green..a tribute to St.Patrick

I love St. Patrick's day..In part because I have some Irish heritage, but I also love the reason we celebrate St. Patrick's day.
Giving of one's self for others.
St. Patrick's day is a reminder of so many others who have gone before me.
Brave souls who gave their all,so others as well as myself could hear words to set us free. They remind me to give and sacrifice for others, as well.
So St. Patrick's day,we "wear the green proudly and are reminded of so much to be thankful for. Not only do we wear the green, we often eat the green..
Have you ever had green milk for breakfast, green eggs and ham..green jelly for your toast and for jelly sandwiches? Green jello for dessert at supper?
Yes GREEN, GREEN, GREEN... today make IT GREEN... you still have time...
==================================================================================
A Little St.Patrick's Day History...

St. Patrick's was born in Roman Britain in the fifth century, into a wealthy Romano-British family. His father & grandfather church deacons.
Patrick was kidnapped by Irish raiders when he was 16 years old and taken as a slave, to Ireland. It is believed Patrick was held somewhere on the west coast of Ireland, possibly Mayo, but the exact location is unknown.

According to Patrick , he heard God tell him in a dream to flee from captivity to the coast, and board a ship and return to Britain. Upon his return to Britain, Patrick joined the Church in Auxerre in Gaul ,where he studied to become a priest.

Patrick said he was called back to Ireland in 432. He returned a bishop, to save the Irish. Patrick was successful in reaching the Irish people, he focused on converting royalty ,aristocracy as well as the poor.

Irish folklore tells that Patrick's teaching included using a shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit) to the Irish people. Tradition says Patrick died on March 17,461 AD, and that he was buried at Downpatrick , after teaching and spreading God's Word for nearly 30 years. Patrick endured as the principal champion of Irish Christianity and is held in esteem in the Irish Church, even though there were other more successful missions from Rome to Ireland.
